So: Ohio State pulls there asses out of Purdue intact. Barely. But then, the mark of a really good team is the ability to get things going when you really have to.

And gee, wasn't Northwestern supposed to have a good offense? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> 65-10, Iowa. I suppose getting a single TD against a defense like that before they've figured your offense out is as good as they can ask for. And the Iowa offense ownz.

With the OSU win, Iowa has almost no chance of smelling roses this year, even if they roll over Minnesota, but it's so nice to have the home team come out of nowhere to kick butt like this.

A win is a win is a win is a win. Still undefeated, keeping the National Championship hopes alive! w00t!

I was at the Penn State- Virginia game this afternoon. Larry Johnson ran again for at least 190 yards in PSU's win.

what I wanna know is what the f happened to Iowa State and more importantly Seneca Wallace? I kinda predicted K-State would take them out, but not the shalackin they put on the Cyclones! Man..

Penn State sucks.

Penn State was amazing. Ohio State was good enough. The Sooners luck finally ran out. Fact is, unless you are Miami last year, you don't go undefeated without some luck. Miami got by Florida state, Ohio State got by Penn State without an offensive touchdown, which I still think was way luckier than the Purdue win. If Penn State hadn't been robbed by the officials , in two different games, and I mean robbed, they'd be a BCS team. That call against Michigan was just so bad, it has to go down in my memory as the worst bad call I've ever seen. And with Penn State's field goal kicker being as good as he is, it almost certainly cost them the game. I hope they get a fair shake next year. But personally, I think the player of the week is that freshman quaterback from Texas A&M who helped them take down OU. That guy was amazing. The guy isn't even growing facial hair yet. What's he going to be like in 3 years? As for Iowa, Northwestern sucks so bad, beating them by 100 wouldn't win you browny points, but I'm willing to vote for Banks for the Heisman, he's better than anyone else that's up for it this year.

reggie mcneal. yeah, he started the season terrible. that first touchdown bomb was first good throw he's made since the first game of the season. the problem was that he was so overhyped and too much pressure was put on him that he was making stupid mistakes every time he got a chance. the fans here would chant his name before he ever even proved anything. well today, he proved himself, and i'm proud to admit that i was one of the 84k aggies chanting his name in kyle field. btw, you've never been to a college football game til you've experienced football here. it's amazing...
the electricity is second to none. especially after a win.

oh yeah, and i suppose RC gets to keep his job for another week...

Sadly enough for Mr. Reggie McNeal, that was his moment in the sun. He's going to be worse in three years, that's what Texas A&M does to super quarterbacks. They shine bright early on and then fade into nothing as all their potential is coached right out of them.

He played a fantastic game, though, and I hope for his sake the RC Slocum/Quarterback curse doesn't hit him.

I will be shocked if that Ohio State team beats Michigan. I won't be surprised at all if they lose their last two playing such crap football.

ND drops a game to an unranked team, they drop 6 spots. OU drops a game to a friggin' unranked team, they drop 3 spots. What bullshit, fucking Sooners.

Ohio State has Michigan at home, where they beat Washington State, Texas Tech, Penn State, all their big wins. Their road wins have all been scary. Illinois buried Wisconsin last week and seems to be peaking. So before we start worrying about Michigan, there's the game at Illinois. Neither of these games is going to be easy. I keep thinking the Bucks will play a good away game sometime. Next week is their last chance. However if they get to Miami in Tempe, it'll be a good game. They've stuffed every hot running back they've played this year, and they've faced some of the best. And their secondary when Gamble is back there has two legitimate all-americans and the rest of the guys can really hit. Miami gets all the press and we like it that way. But the best team they've played this year is 7-3. How does anyone know how good they are? I don't think they could survive a big 10 schedule undefeated. But then, maybe OSU won't either.
I'm confident if OSU plays Miami they'll win. Miami doesn't have a team on it's schedule with a defense like OSU's. OSU has played any number of high powered offenses like Miami's. I was actually thinking I would rather play Miami than Oklahoma. So far, I seem to be getting what I want. But hey, Illinois and Michigan coming. It's college football, and anything can happen. Right now my worst fear if OSU wins out is that Miami loses and we have to play Oklahoma or Texas. Teams from leagues that have parity are used to playing our kind of game the kind of game you have to play to beat OSU. If Miami plays us, I'm thinking we could get as many as four picks and a couple of fumbles as well. Plus we hold them to under 100 yards on the ground. You heard it here first.

Texas Tech a good team? You must have changed the channel whenever their defense took the field.

I must say that i only frequent this thread occasionally, especially due to tech's performance as of late. But am I to believe that Scott is a Hokie?

also keep in mind that about 5 of our better players were out with injuries, so health is not an excuse...

hey , when I was young I lived two miles from the Shoe in Columbus. I knew who Howard Hopalong Cassidy was before I knew how to play football. BUt compared to Miami fans, i'm mild. A recent quote from a Miami player "No one wants us in the BCS championship". Duh, we all have our own teams to pull for dude. Typical Miami crap. We are God's gift to football, the rest of you should worship us. What a bunch of weenies.

Because we didn't play a mobile quarterback, and OU's defense is vulnerable to those types. Because our offensive coordinator sucks balls and didn't have a gameplan for OU's defense. Because you caught them sleeping and they are wide-awake for us.

Hey dudes, I was looking at Stats to back up my assertation that OSU should be number one, (how else would I be wasting my time) but came to another conclusion. Statistically, K State should be #1. Their stats are unbelieveable. #1 in fewest points allowed per game, 11.4 and 2cnd Points scored at 46.1. No other major school is even close to them. They've lost two and have almost no hope of making BCS bowl, but if you look at their schedule, they've buried some decent teams. They also played Western Kentucky, Louisiana Munroe, and Eastern Illinois. One good non conference foe instead of the 3 wusses might have got them noticed. Miami is ranked 4th in scoring and and 9th on defense alowing 16 a game. Ohio State is 2cnd in defense and 37th in scoring, Iowa is 7th in Offense and 15th in Defense. Anybody else got a team with good stats?

2 years ago, when OU last came here to Kyle field, you were ranked number 1 then too, and we were winning going into the last 5 minutes. we blew a 10 point lead cause of shitty luck and shitty coaching. we shoulda won that game in our last possesion (3rd and goal on the 2 yard line and couldnt put it away), but slocums a moron and didnt even have tombs on the field--tombs was a sure thing to score against any defense when we were within 5 yards. before 2000, though, i dont know anything about aggie football or any other college team because i only came here to go to vet school...

oh btw norfa, stats mean nothing if you don't win the games.

So, anybody got any predictions for scores on the weekends games?, bama/lsu is the best game between ranked teams but personally I know nothing about either of them. , We can make it a competition. See who can get closest to the final score? It sounds like we have more big 10 and Big 12 Fans so it might be better to pick one of those teams to follow. VT and Miami aren't playing so their out.

i think you missed the point. re read it for clarity. your boys played a hell of a game but one win in the last 4 years and your acting like it is a regular occurence is my point. look at it with some perspective. should of, could of, would of is bullshit. you lost that game in 2000, period. get over it, we have.
