iMac G5 10.6.6, Airport Express. Bought a Roku for my housebound wife. It will not connect with the Airport. Roku tech support for Mac is a joke.
Can anyone suggest a different router and would I need a modem also?

You shouldn't have to change router, it'll probably just need a different configuration. See if there's anything in this thread that helps:

Some devices require certain encryption settings like a particular password length. Is the Roku box finding the router and just refusing to connect to it?

It is finding the router but keeps losing the connection. I had it on long enough to download a sofware update to Roku box but drops off and a screen says it is unable to connect to the Roku server
