This is the second time this happened to me I have a new MBP 13 inch 2011 i5 and when I put it to sleep for about less than i hour and when i opened it up again it did not come on.The screen was black and finally it went on in about 4 minutes.Why is this happening? thanks

I often have issues with waking from sleep when I'm using Airport and change my network environment, i.e. using my WiFi router at home, close the lid, go to a coffee shop, open the lid... um... why can't I wake from sleep?

I am using the MBP at home connected to a modem from my ISP and this is connected to the ethernet connection on the MBP.I have no airporter on at all. Thanks

That happened to me a couple times under Tiger. Never happened under Leopard or Snow Leopard.
Try Repairing Permissions (in Disk Utility), and do that every few weeks.
