nice find, Brad

i've had this mp3 for ages, but the video WINS!
(surrealist vulcan logic not to react to flying clothes and plastic ears at the end)
ahhh, green-blooded groupies.

but if you think that's scary, a personal aside:
first time i met Leonard Nimoy, he was performing at some Charity Telethon with Big Bird and stars of other TV shows. Nimoy sang "They Call the Wind Mariah".
talk about the incapacitating power of the neck pinch...

just because the original Capt. Kirk Singalong page is down doesn't mean it ain't archived and waiting to flying leg kick your ears.

It's bizarre how closely he resembles Spock (minus the ears). I assumed his haircut etc wasn't his natural look and had been done specifically for Star Trek.

strictly period...

among his earliest appearance in a Republic (the production company) Serial included a role as an alien... similar hair, but the sets that Republic used for everything from Westerns to Macbeth can be seen more widely than vulcan bowl cut... inspired some horta footage too, IIRC, because all the Republic sets were concrete floor with fake rocks... where did that inspiration lead us...

I especially like that Silly Walk kind of dance those girls perform. Imagine something like that in a videoclip today. Madonna maybe, or the Britney Boys, or however they are called.

It harkens to an age of cynical commercialism, an age where a famous person believed they could crossover into any other medium they chose simply because they were famous. Worse yet the people who funded and controlled that medium believed that they could create whatever marketing gunk they wanted to push it and sell it.

Thank good we live in the 21st century....

I'm amazed they didn't try to film him and his family and stick it on television.

Thank goodness things are so much better today.
