At this point I just couldn't say. If someone told me 6 months ago that, in the next version of Windows, Microsoft would dump the UI they have been using for the last 16 years I would have laughed in their face. Microsoft just don't do
stuff like that.
I probably would have kept laughing right up until the point that Microsoft demonstrated the Metro UI running across all PC form factors.
At this point Microsoft is like a wild animal with its back to the wall. They are unpredictable and known behaviors don't always apply anymore.
