Gigantic pix in stories?

Seriously?
What's the deal with all the gigantic pix (especially when they don't add any info/value) in the middle of the stories the last month or so?
Why not resize them smaller and have the text flow around them so the articles are (much, much) more readable? and much more professional looking...

Completely off-topic, but thanks for posting that picture of Steve. I needed to see something other than even if this isn't the most current rendition of him.

I don't see what the issue is. As long as the pictures don't screw with my site formatting so that I have to scroll sideways, I'm fine with whatever graphics they use. Logos and headshots certainly don't need to be huge, but everything else seems fine.

Just as easy to post a smaller pix with a link to the original. and most have white (okay, gray) space on the sides.
Just would look a lot better/more professional.

Maybe whoever writes 'em is getting paid by the inch?
