Logging in as root user with GUI

Before I used to be able to go to the log in screen and select root and login to delete all my crap with the GUI. I went to netinfo manager and enabled root user and everything, but I there is no root to log into. help please.

In the login preferences pane, you have to either select "Show Other User In List For Network Users" or "Use Name And Password entry fields. If the go the "other user" route, select it in the list and then type in root and the password. If you go the other way, it will be just like the 10.0.x days.
