Outputting Quicktime Movies through Firewire?

Is this possible with the stand-alone Quicktime Player? I want to kiosk a Quicktime Movie through FireWire to a TV set without using something like Final Cut or iMovie. Thanks for any help you may be able to give me in this area.

The only thing i can think of is to export the video through QT Pro in .dv format and display it on... iMovie through a camera connected to a TV

If you can use a powerbook then just display the QT movie full screen and connect the video out of the iBook or PowerBook to the TV.
