One of my favorite movies. The subtle storytelling and acting in the movie just appears more brilliant upon subsequent viewings.

I've finished the book, and found it disappointing, but it's probably my own fault. I think it was because I've followed Apple since the early nineties, and there really wasn't that much in the book that I didn't already know (with the notable exception of Steve's childhood and upbringing)

I can imagine that this would be a much more interesting story for those not pre-versed in Apple and Steve Jobs.

I also found the prose a bit repetitive.

Yeah, I wasn't an obsessive follower, but most of the anecdotes were pretty well known and the few juicy nuggets were out before the book hit shelves. Was about as hard to navigate the internet away from the "spoilers" then trying to avoid the ending of Lost before watching it on the DVR.

I'll also second the bit repetitive part. Someone should do a count of how many times the words "reality distortion field" make an appearance.

Probably the only thing that made me curious was what happened to the old mansion. I know the architecture plans were seen last year once he finally got approval, but the book said by then he lost the appetite for building a second house. Was it ever torn down? Is it still just sitting there abandoned?
