Recent Apps/Docs Folders not working

My recent applications and documents folders in my Apple Menu aren't working properly. No new documents or apps are appearing in them. What do I do to fix it?

Check the settings in your Apple Menu Control Panel.

Report back if this does not fix it.

I get an error message when I try opening the Apple Menu Options control panel:

"There has been an error opening the preferences file. As a result Apple Menu Options can not launch." <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

Try deleting the Apple Menu Options Prefs file from the Preferences folder inside your System Folder.

Ah, that did the trick. Thanks for your help. You'd think they'd include that in Mac Help.
