Is this AppleInsider or Food Network Humor?

Any movie will have to compress characters and events to fit within a reasonable time frame. My suggestion is a 3 part epic ... sort of like Lord of the Rings.

Lord of the Apple - Fellowship of the apple
Steve and Steve, the early years, on the quest to build a computer and found a company.

Lord of the Apple - The Two OSs
Steve & Steve continue the quest and battle Microsofts legions - leads to Steve J being ousted by Scully.

Lord of the Apple - The return of the King
Begins with Steve J returning from the wilderness to Apple to remove the false king.

You need to sell that to Hollywood.

Aaron Sorkin is one of my favorite writers. Sports Night, West Wing, Studio 60, Social Network. The guy writes great dialog and would honor Steve's memory while making it entertaining.

I dunno. I can think of worse choices. William Shatner. "Schmidt you... dirty bastard I'm... going thermonuclear... if you... don't stop copying us."

Ha! How about TABA... There And Back Again

With Clint Eastwood as Treebeard (AKA Join Draper)... who was sent Waltzing Off to Withywindle.

I'm going on a limb here and put Barry Pepper's name on the list. His transformation into RFK for "The Kennedys" mini series was jaw dropping.

The best actor portrayals are usually by actors that don't look exactly like their real-life counterpart.

The less obvious the actor, the better performance the movie gets (imho).

I don't think Clooney or Wylie are going to give us anything we haven't seen before.

I'd like Tarantino to be Director and Uma Thurman to play The Steve...

"Now, if any of you sons of bitches got anything else to say, now's the fucking time! [Pause] I didn't think so. You didn't think it was gonna be that easy, did you?"

Since Steve's death, I've felt that Patrick Dempsey would be a good fit for the role.

OK, let's solve this in a civilized way. Gentlemen, choose your weapons!

However, if we can have anyone then Christian Bale is definitely perfect. Norton would be a close runner up. Bale can be very likeable in one scene and then very intense in another. Perfect for Jobs. He also throws himself into the role and would probably slim down for the later years.

Jim Caviezel is my choice. Makeup can do anything, so this push for a lookalike (Aston Kutcher? Really?) is offbase. Using a "Tom Cruise" caliber A-lister is also offbase IMO.

Jim Caviezel last big role was Jesus, and with that role in mind I think he would do Mr. Jobs' story well--especially his later years--post 97.
