Nothing takes 20 years any more. Thunderbolt will be the preferred connector in 5 years I predict, and USB will still be on motherboards for backwards compatibility but hardly anyone will use it (at least for new stuff).

VGA will be on motherboards until 2014.

Let that sink in. DVI has existed since 1999 and those piles of [REDACTED] keep putting a worthless pile of [REDACTED] port from last century on their boards.

Nothing takes 20 years. Just 15.

Oh, and you can still get motherboards with PS/2 ports and PS/2 mice and keyboards still ship with low end PCs. USB has had its kick in the pants since 1997.

So that's another set of 15 years and counting

Anyone else wondering what an HD video will look on this retina display? With a 1080p video it would have to sample the video up to view full screen.

Just watch 1080p content fullscreened on a 27" Cinema or Thunderbolt display. It still looks good, and condensing that down to 9.8" is going to make it look that much better.
