Problem joining my WiFi Network

I just installed a new Airport Express last weekend. Now whenever I try to go online ... my network is not recognized. I have to go up to the WiFi symbol, click on it until my network name comes up. Once my network name comes up I click on it and I am on. This is happening both on my MacBook and my husband's MacBook Pro. What can I do to correct this problem?

Hop on over to System Preferences/Network. Click Wi-Fi, then click Advanced. Is "Remember networks this computer has joined" checked?
