camera jack for ipad

will the camera connection to the ipad work for transferring data to usb flash drives? is there a way to make it work? what about the flash card also?

And, furthermore, is there a way a portable hard drive can be attached thru that same USB port and one be able to access its data via the iPad???

The answer is "via jailbreak" for both of those questions, I believe. I'm not sure, however. I don't have the kit myself and I haven't had my iPad jailbroken since before iOS 5.
