The iPad 2/iPhone 4S use a Power VR SGX 543MP2. The iPad 3 (and the Playstation Vita) use a Power VR 543MP4.

It's the same chip, just with extra cores.

No money in owning a network. The telecoms spends billions upon billions constantly upgrading their network with no real profit margin. Apple is all about making money.

Sure Verizon, AT&T and the rest are making cash but it's way more competitive for little scratch, unlike the profit model Apple has built up.

So what only a USA network? What about Canada or Europe or Asia? 

Apple wants to make money on products, I cant see them having an interest in owning a network.

Bada is actually quite good and now that they are merging Meegos with it, my favorite mobile OS of all time I think it might be something special. Why does it have to pirated, I always convert all of my DVD and BlueRay discs to DIVX and or MKV.  Well I also do it to the stuff that we rent so I guess that's a little dodgy. I us a Android Tablet though for my media as they play pretty much every codec available and it's wide screened. I hate, hate converting media files to my iPad so I use another tablet just for media that you don't need to, plus I love DLNA.

And because people will be curious how I rank them, it's WMV, DivX, AVI, and then MKV, in descending order of suck.

HandBrake updates once a year (lazy bums, not updating this awesome free software they're taking time out of their own lives to write), and as of the last update, I don't like converting as much as I once did, either.

But I take solace in the fact that HEVC will be finalized next January. Once HandBrake supports HEVC, I'll do one final conversion of my entire library, cutting its size in half, and then, barring an absolute miracle in compression algorithms, I don't see any more conversions being done.

I'm saying that once you get to a modern, usable format, you can stick with it indefinitely. MP4 is really the only modern format.

I love Divx, same quality as MP4, the only difference is the container, MP4 does contain more info but it is also supported less, Divx is more open, I always get the great compression and quality from them so why change. As far as copying the rented movies, I always end up buying the ones we like and deleting the ones we don't. Not making an excuses because I really don't give a crap. Switzerland doesn't care about rippers just the distributors.I would bet a thousand dollars that if I went threw your media I would find something that you don't have a hard copy for.

Yea well when you have a large family full of techno nerds it's impossible to keep track of media, is it bought or traded.  You can't stop your kids from trading films at school, it's 2012 every kid has a laptop or tablet. I would rather turn my attention over to stopping them from using drugs and making sure they do their home work to care where they got the latest album of Pink. I try to at least rent the films they want before they go on to the torrent sites not because of morality as I truly don't care about the movie industry,I don't want the kids to see all that pornagraphy that those site endorce. Myself, I just listen to Podcast's and read. The entertainment business are the ones that are deplorable.

Don't worry about it Relic, tech savvy people (android users) know how to get free music, books, movies, etc while clueless Apple people are attached to the store with their credit cards. Everybody rips movies, that's why are there so many sites dedicated to it and so many free programs constantly updated that allow you to do so.
 

I'm not all that pure about ripping but I do like to pay a bit to support the people creating movies. I simply don't have the time to watch everything.

If no one pays things don't get made well and we end up with the cinema version of blogs, reality television, and ghost written biographies of Kim Kardashian.

That everyone does it doesn't make it right.  I guess this part of the argument depends on the terminology.  Ripping is one thing, that should be legal in my opinion, at least if you purchased the source media.  The problem is distributing (or sharing) those rips is not good, nor should it be legal.
