I love my Apple Products all 10 of them. Who gives a rats ass what samsung or any other wanna be Apple company thinks. I am friggen happy with what I have. If it was or wasn't Samsung who cares. I think either way it brings attention to Apple that helps them sell their products. They just work!!! I have a PC and I have a MacPro 8 core. I ended up putting the PC in a closet and using my MacPro only. It just works!! Screw the critics!!

I can't help but think Samsung is behind every second of this. I've seen the products in person standing side by side with the Apple counterparts and it has always been an exact duplicate in more than one area. Their latest laptop, that is identical to a matte screen macbook pro in every way (apart from having a numerical pad) is so obviously a copy its painful. I have products from loads of different vendors and I'm happy with all of them but I refuse to buy from Samsung. They are the only company I know of who's antics would not be out of place in a 90s action film - you know, the evil mega-corporation who's evil and has a CEO who laughs like a panto-villian! MUWAHAHAHA!

No, because they still work, 20+ months for my iPhone 4, 3 and a half years for my MacBook, 18 months for my Apple TV and over a year for my iPad.
My MacBook outlasted the washing machine.
New battery, added more RAM and upgraded to Lion, all for less than the cost of a repairman coming out to fix a Samsung washing machine, which incidentally would have cost almost as much as a New iPad (NOT 4G as I'm in Australia).

And why do you care so much what anyone else thinks?
You should have known this site is basically an Apple site since you joined in 2008. You know, for people who LIKES Apple and Apple products?
We'll see on May 6th then, right? Just over one week.
If Samsung was actually behind this, yet is now disowning it, then they'd have shut down the wake up website already. They would have phrased it differently too, simply blaming the ad agency for an out of control and unauthorized stunt. They'd be lying of course but that would be the easiest way out for everyone, including the ad agency, which would get properly compensated.
So: Pretty sure Samsung was not actually behind this. We'll see who was next week.
This is the problem with stupid speculation. It's out there, so everyone has an opinion on this whether they have any real information or not. In case you're wondering, I'm not an Android user.
I doubt it. This doesn't really seem like Samsung marketing, even given their prior commercial making fun of iphone users. Personally I think they need a better ad agency.
Maybe Sophos Security is behind the Wake Up campaign :S
This is a typical closet fanboy claim, you might as well just come out. Buying Apple products just because everyone else does is stupid. Not buying Apple products because everyone else does is even more stupid.
But, buying Apple products because you recognize that there isn't a better alternative on the market doesn't make you a fanboy or a sheep, it makes you rational. Pretending that their are better alternatives or that quality is subjective (i.e., using phrases like, "for me"), just means you are in denial.

So Samsung can't be as bad as you are making out then? Oh wait, Samsung are only good in your eyes if it's part of an Apple product?

Fanboy of what exactly? I have a HTC One X but also own a iPad 2, Mac Mini, iMac, Apple TV and Macbook Air. I owned a iPhone 4 and liked it for a while then found I preferred Android with HTC Sense as it has features the iPhone doesn't that work for me better. My work gives me a 4S but I still prefer the HTC.
I have never said buying Apple products is stupid...However, I think it's stupid to see no value in something just because it doesn't come from Apple.
THAT"S HILARIOUS!
Do you mean the ARM (British) chips and all that other stuff Samsung licenses from foreigners and and then just produces with cheap labor overseas? :)
At least Apple has the talent and originality to be able to design its own OS. Samsung can't even do that and has to go cap in hand to Google to save them....wow, kinda cheap if you ask me. They're VERY lucky to have those non-Korean tech savvy companies to save give them a helping hand. C'mom Samsung, Wake up! ;)
You mean iOS? Based off of OS X, based off NeXT (in turn based off of Unix) that Apple had to buy? Which really comes down to Apple NOT having the talent to create it's own mobile OS. (yes I understand NeXT was spearheaded by Jobs but he wasn't an Apple employee at that time.) Just saying and excluding the fact that Samsung does have its own mobile OS.

The problem is that we can't believe your response. You'd have us believe that you buy Apple products all the time (where have we heard that one before?) but just happen to prefer x & y, but aren't any sort of "fanboy" -- i.e., not passionate about any technology? So, why exactly are you here posting if you aren't passionate about anything discussed on this site? Sorry, but people post on internet forums for only a few reasons: they are passionate about the topic under discussion, they are trolls or they are paid by someone to try to shape opinion. People who don't have strong opinions, psychological problems, or a job to do, respectively, don't post on internet forums. So, the fact that you are posting here doesn't agree with your pretenses, or means you have some other reason to do so. Which of the three are you, then: "fanboy", troll or shill?

When Apple bought NeXT, NeXT took over Apple, and changed its name to Apple. So, in any discussion about "Apple" developing its own, or having the talent to develop its own, OS, you need to substitute "NeXT" for all occurrences of "Apple". At which point, it becomes obvious just how ridiculous what you have written is.

So you're a racist creep with no real point. Apple, Samsung, and every other tech company develop some things in house while licensing or acquiring others. This shouldn't be surprising. Apple has acquired many companies in order to develop many of the things that carry an Apple logo today. They've licensed others. You shouldn't hate them for it, or any other company for doing the same thing. There's no real way to develop things at some of these price points on annual development cycles with everything in house, which is why many of them use commoditized components. Anyway I did tell you guys it didn't seem like Samsung.

I had a whole response written then decided I couldn't be bothered as it's obvious you are just a troll.
Well, I guess if your imaginary response doesn't explain away the obvious inconsistencies in your previous statements, that's the best thing to do.
