What is this forum like?

Not sure where to put this, but I'm looking for a replacement for MacRumors, where the moderation has gotten completely out of control. How is this forum with that? Is it like that here? Is politics free to discuss, or do the mods often get antsy about such issues? I feel I may be searching for awhile for a decent forums.

You're looking for a forum where you can "freely discuss politics"; you're going to be looking until the heat death of the universe.

 

Having said that, there's a heck of a lot of crap that goes on in PoliticalOutsider that wouldn't be allowed anywhere else on the site, I don't imagine. And I'm not talking just content, I'm talking means of presentation and arguments thereafter.

 

There's a lot of vitriol there, is what I'm saying.


As for the forums as a whole, we're NOT MacRumors, thank heavens. My last experience there was, what, three years ago, and I'd say that's just when it started to go downhill. But if you're banning users for performing forum actions they're allowed to do, you have a problem, that's for sure.
