I've been using VNC and similar spin-offs to operate a Mac from a Windows XP computer, the problem is that the quality of the service on the Mac side seems to drop with every kitty iteration. Built-in worked well for Tiger, OSXVNC (now Vine Server) worked in Leopard, I had to switch to TeamViewer for Snow Leopard.

With Lion, the problem is Apple has added a new login screen just for remote access that hasn't been there before, and that seems to crash on my about every third access. I'm at a loss for what to do, I can't find a way to disable the odd login screen. Does anyone have any suggestions?
