ok, now I feel like a huge dope. The nook's screen size is actually 6" not 5". But I still hold to my argument that a 6" touch, after dropping the current one, is still better than a 7.85" iPad.

700,000 apps would not become useless, WITHOUT AN UPDATE?

What about all those old apps that developers decided to stop updating?

How will those apps "stretch" themselves magically so they dont become all weird....???

Apple would not allow that. I would bet a hundred grand that the next iPhone is NOT 16:9.

AppInsider should not publish these mongoloid articles...

Comparing this resolution to the transition between 3GS and iPhone 4 is NOT VALID.

When the iphone 4 came out, you could run EVERY SINGLE APP ON FULLSCREEN without them being updated. Which would not be the case with this retarded resolution.

They wouldn't become useless at all. Do you understand how apps run on the iPad? You can run iPhone-sized apps there. They work fine.

I have the new ipad. And I do nit think that is what Apple would like for their iphone. It would be like releasing a THIRD product and STOP with the iphone.

I KNOW THE APPS WOULD "STILL RUN" but they will run with a nasty black bar on top.

Hundreds of thousands of them.

Imagine Apple doing that. LETTING EVERY SINGKE APP RUNNING WITH A SINGLE BLACK LINE ON TOP OF THEM.

Its like nobody uses their brains.

It just WONT happen.
