Music not installing on my iPod touch.

I have an iPod Touch 4th generation running the latest iOS. Yesterday when I bought a song in the iTunes store on my iPod, it would not install. I watched it download, but it never appeared in my music. I've tried to re-download it from my purchases items, but it has the same result every time, it downloads but never installs. Any ideas how to fix this problem?

Try restarting your iPod Touch by pressing and holding the Home button together with the Sleep/Wake button (on top). When the red slider appears, slide it to the right to turn off.

On your iPod, go to iTunes > Purchased > Music > Not On This iPod - select the entry and Download. Make sure you have WiFi enabled. I am running out of ideas.

If the problem occurs only with a single song, it might be a problem with the song itself and the way it is stored on iTunes' servers.
