iTunes makeover - What was Apple thinking?

Thread Starter

Hate, hate, hate the new version of iTunes (11): I swear I've lost some music, it takes me forever to toggle between screens, and I still can't figure out how to move songs to my playlists.  When I go to the store, I want to see a list of all the artists that have covered a song and the popularity ratings.  My iTunes library was the push for me to get an iPhone.  Guess I'll be getting that Galaxy S III now.

I haven't installed iTunes 11 yet. If you search for a song, doesn't it show an icon view of all the artists who have covered that song with ratings like it does on the iPad?

That's just going to add to your problems because iTunes still won't do what you want and you'll have a worse phone.

I like iTunes 11 except for the fact that it doesn't show your song stats at the bottom. Is there a way I can get that functionality back?

Is there a "show status bar" option in the view menu?:
