The 'Save As' dialog box

In using Snow Leopard, I'd like to add another destination to the 'Save As' dialog box.  I use this fairly often but it doesn't always appear automatically.  It there a way to add it either permanently or when I want to use it?

I'm not sure what you mean. Elaborate?

Do you mean a location added to Recent Places?

Yes, Recent Places.  How do you add another 'place' so that it isn't lost if it isn't 'recent'.

I know of no way to do that, at least. Put it in the sidebar if you use it a lot?

Not the best solution for me, but it'll have to do.
