Android on a macbook air

I'm forced to use a xoom at work and really hate it. Is there any way to install ICS on a macbook air with parallels virtualization or any other means so i can ditch this thing? Since that would also cost me my data plan, can i tether this to my iPhone as i have to keep an internet connection available?

Well, yeah. There's an Android emulator contained in the SDK. Install, follow instructions, and it should work as well as one would expect.

 

As for tethering, they'll cut your service off unless you pay more.

 

Verizon: $20 for two extra gigabytes.

AT&T: $20 for no extra data. Seriously. I can't find anywhere that says it adds more data.

Sprint: $20 for two extra gigabytes.

 

Funny. How they all have the exact same price for the exact same service—Sprint having completely changed their price from $30 for 5GB—and NO ONE BATS A FRICKING EYE at this obvious collusion.

Well, he probably has to for something related to his work, and it's certainly (marginally) better than being forced to use actual Android hardware.

job requirement! i need an android device for work, would prefer to carry around 1 less device
