why wont apple man up and sue google for android patent issues?

i am starting to wonder why apple wont bother suing google for patent infringement. Is it because they know google will win if they sue the core google manufacturer?

Because it's a little tricky. Google makes the software but they don't actually implement it. If phone manufacturers didn't install it on their devices then it would sit idly on Google's servers offending no one. It doesn't take Google off the hook but it's a more difficult case to win.
