New tech possibly in future iPads?

Allows users to feel textures and objects on screens.

What do you guys think?

I think it's neat, but also dangerously close to being relegated to gimmick status unless it can be integrated seamlessly with the OS in some way.

If app icons felt different from the surrounding wallpaper, that would be a logical use. If the keyboard keys "stood out" from their surrounding "material", that would be a logical use.

But it's very easy to see how Android will pick this up and ruin it.
