I thought of exact idea at the Apple iPad Announcement; when the date was given as late November.

They are shipping them.  Our local Future Shop here in London, ON Canada almost sold me two.  I got them to the cash to pay and the computer refused to sell them saying they were on embargo until November 30.  I wish I had of snapped a picture and yes I am 100% sure they were the iPad Mini Retinas and not just the regular mini

November 30! Interesting. Are Canada and the US usually in sync on releases lately?

Pot is legal in North Korea.
That explains a considerable amount.

I would think that the 30th is just a placeholder until they get an actual release date from Apple.  I am guessing the 29th unless that is your Thanksgiving!

And Samsung innovated what exactly? Oh yeah, they made the screen larger. Wow. Good job.

That’s not even innovation. They made screens larger because they were too stupid to figure out how to make components small enough to build a phone with the same tech that was the size of the iPhone. That’s anti-innovation.

Samsung is being applauded for doing the equivalent of making a larger, slower ENIAC in 1950.

Oh puhleeze. There's a class action suit against Apple every time Tim Cook farts for gawd's sake. If you think class action lawsuits, or lawsuits in general, have any basis in reality, then you're way too easily deceived.

On the Apple market disruption of the MP3 player, smartphone and tablet. Yes, you F idiot, we know those existed before. But did you look at what the devices look like before Apple revamp them and how , again, the freaking world clone the crap out of there R&D.

Ps, sorry if I am cranky this morning but I work in IT on the mainframe, it is my turn on the pager this week and I spent the half the night fixing bugs because of bunch of geeks that thinks they  are so smart cant test there shit properly before putting it up in the production environnent.  Now if you excuse me a have to go yell at some people in a meeting.

How interesting, seeing as how Apple LOST the lawsuit against Xerox for this very same issue in the mid-90s.  It was tossed out of court.  You need to study history a bit more.

Yes, you do.

Right, because tens of thousands of customers who Apple refused to honor warranties for were just a figment of their imaginations, right?  I suggest you get checked out to see if there's a history of rampant and early onset of delusion in your family tree.

As for lawsuits, that doesn't mean anything. Lawyers can make cases with little evidence or truth.

So because it hasn't affected you, you'll dismiss it as false, despite a tidal wave of users who have had the same problem as my wife?  You'll ignore articles by CNET, Tomshardware, Engadget, and others as....what?  Bias?  Class-action lawsuits aren't based on "little evidence or truth,".  That's the antithesis of a class action lawsuit.

I think you're missing the point completely, which is ironic, given Apple's litigious history.  And yes, I DO chalk it up to fanbois buying the Apple hype machine.  What other group of people can you think of (besides Honda owners) who believe that their company of choice is practically flawless, and creates products that last forever?  That's hype, my friend....and completely misplaced hype at that.  Apple products break down with the E-X-A-C-T same frequency and ratio as...yep...you guessed it :)  EVERYBODY ELSE.

Uh huh.  Samsung didn't provide the display panels for the iPhone 4S.  Apple was using OLED, while Samsung was offering AMOLED for their own devices.  Samsung even publicly bashed the iPhone 4 display.

You feel silly now.

Yes, you do.

Xerox lost to Apple and Apple lost to Microsoft.

Then why are's Apple's CE sold at such high prices 2nd hand compared to other vendors. Are these "fanbois" not only buying the brand new Apple products but also waiting years to buy the old Apple products? Do you see how you destroyed your own argument?

Why does your anecdote out weigh mine again? The vast majority of 4S are working fine. Just like the vast majority of the 4's with the antennae "issue."

If suppliers do not agree to the price Apple wants, then they do not get to sell their displays and other wares.

Simple stuff.
