Well, sorta... Apple posted some information about converting Windows-compatible iPods to Macintosh format, but the process requires a reformatting of the hard drive in the device, thereby deleting all of your songs. If you have a way of transferring the MP3 files between your current PC and your soon-to-be Mac (read: OS X 10.2 has native Windows file-sharing capiblities so you should be fine) before you convert the iPod, then you'll have no problems when you get your new Mac system. See question #9 in <a href="http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60920
" target="_blank">Apple Knowledge Base Article 60920</a>. Note, though, that MacWorld San Francisco is just around the corner, and if Apple were to do any updates to the iPod line, MWSF would be the time they would do it. Just in case they do update the iPod, you're probably better off waiting until after January 6th to make your purchase.
