Please Help Me Decide

Hi all I was wondering if you could help me in deciding which digital camera to getI was looking at the Kodak brand and the CX4230 model.

Does anyone out there have this model or brand? Is it a good camera and brand or do they stuff up easily? Please tell me what digital camera you have and what its good points are and bad as I am willing to go for other brands out there

It has 2Mega pixel which I dont know if that good to take good quality pics at high resolutionsplease tell me what I should look out for as I will be using this for home and family use and what the pics to look good not poor. Im not one of the pro users so I dont need the expensive onesonly a good reliable camera.

Please help and thanks for the tips

We have an HP 315; had it for a couple of years. 3.1 megapixel, which means that it can take images at up to 1600x1200@24bit resolution. It actually has 3 settings; 640x480@24b, 1600x1200@16b, and 1600x1200@24b. It came with an 8MB CompactFlash card, which holds about 80, 20, and 10 picts respectively. I like it a lot. It has a ~2inch LCD screen on the back, which is nice. Plenty of features. Sturdy little thing; it's taken it's share of bumps and falls.

I bought an Olympus Camedia C-3040 last year, and it's fantastic. I'm sure the models have changed by now (and probably gone down in price: typical!), but the picture quality and ease of use, ability to customize etc. is great.

My first digital was a Kodak, and it was very limited, but the technology has improved a lot over the past few years, so maybe the current crop is more satisfactory.
