I know that it helped me immensely a few years ago, and it indeed removed/quarantined all the malware on my PC.

Yep - ditto here. I've used the free v for cleaning up pcs with great results.
You don't need to have it running all the time.
Update it once a month and scan once a month is usual practice.

Is anyone using MacBooster?  What do you think of it?

Is it worth $60? Do you have a better suggestion?

@ Sequitur - if you feel the need to run some kind of scanner on your Mac then use ClamX av - free.

Not for Macs. There doesn't seem to be Malware Bytes for Mac. Only alternatives like MacBooster, etc.

What is Mac Booster anyway?

Googling malware bytes brings up this site:  http://www.malwarebytesmac.org  showing MacBooster as an equivalent/alternative.
