Oh I wish it was called that, such a cool name. I get to see a Tab S up close on Friday. hubby and kids took me shopping for a small midi keyboard before they dropped me off at the heliport. I wanted something to play with while I'm in the hospital for the next couple of weeks. Anyway while my hubby was paying for my loot I went upstairs to InterDiscount to check out the new toys, they had the 10.5 version of the Tab S, it's defiantly not the the most attractive looking tablet there is, that gold/brown color is pretty hideous, my goodness is that display just breath taking though, yes the iPad Air is also very nice but this thing is in a different category all into itself. I defiantly want a monitor with Super-Duper-Duper AMOLED display.
It's been such a long time since I set foot into a music store or went shopping for that matter, so needless to say I went a little crazy. First thing I saw and had to have was the all new Akai APC Key 25;
I got it for my new Surface 3 to be used in conjunction with Abelton Live as it's a controller specifically made for the program. Now I already have the Albeton Push, but it's a little to big for me to carry around and it doesn't have a build in keyboard, so I would have had to bring one of those along as well but the smallest one have is a Novation SL MkII, aaaah poor me.
My iPad got some luv'n too, presenting two of the most awesomest iPad midi thingamabobbers from Keith McMillen;
I didn't want to leave but my flight was leaving in an hour and especially after I saw they had a Teenage Engineering OP-1 on display, imagine having a full featured Moog in the palm of your hand, I've been reading about this little guy for about a year now but it's one of those thing's that you can only dream about having because their just to darn expensive too justify the cost. Didn't matter though as I left with some pretty great toys.
I said goodbye to the family and boarded the helicopter to Geneva. You guys ever ride in one of those things, so much fun, it was a medi-copter so I had to lay down, though the flight medic propt me up a little so I could see out the window, unfortunately she knocked me out so I was asleep about 20 minutes into it. Anyway, I arrived okay in Geneva and got checked into the hospital. The next day while the nurse was helping me unpack I found an unfamiliar white box, inside was a Teenage Engineering OP-1, while I was upstairs checking out the computers my crazy husband had bought my ridiculous little dream toy and had my son stuff it into my bag.
