Right now, mac.com is down.

I can't get email at all. I wonder why it is down.

iTools is down too -- check Apple's web site.

They give no explanation AT ALL and no return ETA.

I just quit Mail for the time being.

Actually, this is a planned outage, as noted in the May 2 iTools update:

[quote]Most iTools services, including email, will be offline for scheduled maintenance May 18, 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. PST. Your iDisk will remain accessible through the Mac OS X Go menu and through the Mac OS 9 Chooser menu. All mail received at Mac.com during this time will be delivered when maintenance is complete.

Just a few more hours...
It's great to be back...

Whew, I thought I was in more serious trouble with that password thing. I tried "trashing" all my Mailboxes and prefs (I didn't actually delete any of it), and it still kept asking for authentication incessantly. Write this one up as another bug in Mail.

works fine for me now...
I'm having deja-vu and amnesia at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

I wonder if they moved everything over to Xserves and Xserve RAIDs?
