May be they are running out of "$"...

I just see it for AI! I thought they finally added a FavIcon that just happened to be quite lame...

It may be more purple on your monitor than it is on mine, but it was intentionally tweaked to be a bit more intense because of the separation between the address field and the content portion of the window.

Anyway, these things can be adjusted easily enough.

...the color I used (grays and what I call 'glass') come from an old desktop I did for the people at AI (a p-wall).

The color structure comes from the old AI.

I forgot to mention that the above previews are in .png (I wanted to preserved the transparency.

Did you like the icon (mac os x)?

i very much like it. may have to go into my dock as a link.


once we get some things done, maybe i'll send you a color pallette and some images, see what your take would be?

we can have multiple stylesheets so it may be cool to have some user-designed ones, like mando's tek style or something, for people to pick from.

just spouting off at the mouth...

Remember that a favicon's dimensions must be 16x16 pixels.

I think AppleInsider needs a logo before a favicon is chosen. The favicon will naturally follow.

Check out MacCentral's, MacMinute's and MacInTouch's (and others') favicons to see what I mean.

I forgot that it's 16x16 (I really DID know it once).



Okay, here's the corrected image...I think it looks better than the one that's in the poll because I'm working off the original ImageReady file.
