PS: the icon of the Keyboard and Mouse in the System Prefs... Could the icon for the mouse be a clue for what's to come? It's not the typical shape..

I wouldn't place too much into any of the icons. They're placeholders, and are usually settled on at the last minute independently from the code. It's easy to switch those out.

couple of thoughts looking at the system prefs image...

no login items - has this been moved to a separate app? i hope so because i use this to mount servers and luanch apps

general is now appearance - possible themes? wild guess really, but maybe...

oh, and one other thing. the compose icon on the mail is now not just a pencil, but a pad and pencil. should make clicking MUCH easier. (yes, i know the keyboard shortcut, but my mother doesn't)

Not true.

The way toolbar icons work on Mac OS X, you do NOT have to click directly on the graphic. You can click anywhere in its vicinity and your click will be accepted.

See?

And to those complaining about menus below buttons, put the "Path" button in your Finder toolbar ? voila! a menu.
I use my computer to type.

Actually it's exactly the same as the current only reduced smaller and rotated horizontally. I guess those two changes make it look slightly different.

I also noticed that the window bars don't go transparent in these images. Subtle changes like that make these seem more and more authentic.
