ibook won't wake up from sleep

Anybody else have this problem? When my new ibook 600Mhz DVD goes to sleep sometimes I can't wake it and have to resort to poking the reset button which messes up my dates. Is this normal? Should I get it fixed? Any other way to restart an ibook other than the little reset button?

have you tried ctrl + "the apple button" + power?

Also: Check if the battery is close to empty...

Nah - battery is fully charged, and it doesn't appear to be a problem when waking from sleep in OS X...

Hi. I have an ibook 600 w/ dvd too
when i put mine to sleep, it always wakes up.
i don't know what could cause it, although it might be possible to solve it by reinstalling your system software
(i used this to solve the same problem with my old imac 333mhz)

if it still doesn't work, you can always fall back on your warranty

BTW, sometimes, when left in sleep for a long period of time, some macs refuse to wake up. think of it as hybernation. hehe.
