Will Panther give us pre-G5 people USB 2.0 support?

Thread Starter
I bought an Adaptec USB2 Connect PCI card. It supports Mac OS X, but only at USB 1 speeds. Why? Adaptec's website says Apple does not supply USB2 drivers with its OS. I hope/assume Panther will fix this situation, since G5s already have it! Any info?

10.2.8 has built-in support for USB 2.0 PCI cards. As does Panther.

What about PCMCIA for those of us with older PowerBooks?

Supposedly. I don't have a G3 PowerBook to test a PCMCIA card, though
