Forgive me Father.

It seems as though my identity was given out by the moderators. Yes, I am Mastergateing. Do you really care? I had fun, hope you did also. My point was to show all of you people that there is no telling who comes here and says what. Anybody can say anything and even sometimes be taken extremely seriously. I am sorry if any of you are angry at me or have wasted time reading my mastergateing posts. Once again, you never know who anybody is and if what they say is really true.

PS: At the old AI I was known as Schiller Fat.

Well now it makes complete sense.

While your point is correct, the way you went about proving it was just wrong. But I do need to say to all the new AI'ers...don't believe everything you read.

Did the mods give out your identity? Does anybody else think that the active role of the mods/admins is different from what it used to be?

Yes, the mods gave out my identity. I dont care though, my point lives on! Praise ALLAH! Praise be to ALLAH!

I don't know that you were wrong in the way you proved your point. I think you managed to OVER-prove it by the reaction and number of replies you had.

No hard feelings here. Oh, BTW, great job arguing with yourself!

I had a feeling Mastergating was Schiller Fat. There was something about your posts that made me think of "him". Anyway, I'm not offended, but honestly your stunt was kind of weak. If more people decided to pull stunts like yours (clearly this was not a new concept in forum communications), this forum would be a total cluster-fuk. Maybe next time find a more clever way to make your point?

Even if you do though, I'm still not sending you any beer.

I thought it was great story telling. Does anyone believe any thing they read in these forums? It is like anything you see, read or hear. You have to think for yourself and make decisions on available input, which is what your posts showed.

I think this statement puts it best.

Yeah, WHY ARE many of you so mad at Macintosh/Mastergateing? So he lied to you? News Flash: people lie to you all the time, especially on these boards.

What's the big deal people?

I doubt it. based on the way you write you seem like maybe a 13 or 14 year old, overweight, not into sports, not really too intelligent, and are a little insecure.

(awaiting response when macintosh says hes 6'8, 28 years old, benchpresses 450 pounds, and is a professor at Yale)

I am highly into sports, 17 years old and play football for a major highschool powerhouse. I could kick your ass. As for being intelligent, this is a ****ing message board and a way to place "quick and dirty" thoughts into an arena of like minded people.

My "little stunt" took some intelligence to pull off. I thought it was pretty creative and overdone to the point where some loser has to make fun of me for it.

typical response I was expecting

you're "little stunt" was poorly done. had you had a clue you could have kept it going till MW. and to be happy about it is even more insulting as you attempted to pull one on the members here. the fact that you show no shame is sad.
Wait a minute guys. Give me a break. Someone should tell you gents that Pennsylvania is a pretty big state with a lot of people. Even if Applenut were to find Macintosh, the idea that you two would duke it out over a disagreement on these boards is severely immature at best.

I'd suggest you both drop this to save a little bit of the respect that many of the users here might still have for you.

This isn't a judgement of either of you, just an observation of how people might look at your pissing contest -- which is all this really is.

I knew I could have kept this "stunt" going for a loong time, but that was simply not my intention in the first place. I want people to calm down and realize that Apple will not release a G5 because some random source says they will or wont.

The Mods gave out nobody's identity. They did not say his name is X & he lives in X town on X street. They simply let others know what one of his other "alias's" were.

Macintosh Your a first class prick. I hope your proud of yourself. Additionally don't try to hide behind the 'just showing everyone that they can't believe what they read on these boards crap'. That's the same excuse that they all use & it's getting really tired.

Perhpas you should come to Time Square this New Years Eve, walk to the most crowded part & then yell out you have a bomb. This way after the snipers take you down people will realize that not everyone who says they have a bomb reallly have one. Teach them a lesson! And some feel that Jesus was the greatest teacher ... he's got nothing on you ...
You're relating Macintosh's stunt to a bomb threat in Time Square!?!?

Okay. This board has sunk to a new low. You people need a serious dose of the CHILL PILL. Lighten up, will ya'?

No, that's much more serious. I'm simply saying that if he likes teaching people that they can't believe what people say, here's an opportinity for him to teach some others the same thing.

Obvoiusly I'm not seriously suggesting he does this. It is much more serious & certainly not funny. I'm simply trying to make a point.

Exactly! That's what this whole thing was about. You having fun at the expense of others. Not teaching people not to belive everything they hear. You were not doing a public service, rather just amusing yourself because you obviously have nothing better to do.

Personally, I'm done wasting my time with you & this topic.

O.....K. Um, I'd be willing to post a phony "fact" thread here, but you couldn't pay me enough to do a bomb threat anywhere.

You're comparing apples to oranges. They're both fruit, but VERY different.

All Macintosh succeeded in doing was to reduce his credibility to zero.

I wouldn't believe him if he said the sky is blue....

how could he better teach us our lesson in criticism?

of course it wasn't very nice but sometimes you just need a slap in the face

man, take it easy this whole rumors thing here is entertaining and not the meaning of life ...

It seems to me that the people who are upset are trying to blame Macintosh for their own gullibility.

As a "community", it is nice to be able to take each other at face value and assume we are all telling the truth. As with any community, though, we have to be aware that some of the posts here are outright fabrications. Macintosh at least owned up to his. How many other bogus posts do you suppose have been made just so the author could laugh at everyone who takes it seriously (and never admitted to)?

The bottom line is that we all need to keep our brains in gear. The whole point of this particular forum is gossip. The fun is in the speculation, as no one knows what's really coming. We need to process what we read and be sure it makes sense before we take it seriously - and even then, we shouldn't take it too seriously.

Macintosh, I hold no hard feelings. You've done publicly what others have been doing privately for a long time. I agree with you that we need a reminder now and then to keep our credulity in check.

However, we've now had our lesson - we don't need any more of this. If we get a bunch of juvenile smart-asses posting nonsense constantly, this whole forum will fall apart.

Actually, I didn't even realize Macintosh existed until this post.

Either it because any predictions I read are always taken with a grain of salt or Macintosh's posts were never interesting.
I'm guessing it's the latter.

What's up with the people calling Macintosh a liar? Would you call your parents liars because they told you Santa brought you gifts when you were little? Or because they told you the stork brought you to this world? Or any number of other little "white lies" that, when the time is right, are put right?

Come on! No one got hurt, Macintosh owned up, there's now no reason for the gullible suckers to get sore and high and mighty.

Macintosh, you hang in there. You did well on many counts, if I was grading you on your little experimental 'lesson' you'd get an A+. You had me, because of the iMac - almost! I wanted to believe but I've learn your lesson long ago. Keep it up, and as the saying goes 'don't let the b******s get you down!'
