I was hoping that if you had, any information on the iMac's progress in production, you could post it on this thread. The latest I've heard is that the support arm is a possible problem area ??? According to my macmall sales rep.

According to John Farr at Applelinks the problem has been the unavailability of LCD screens. The company that supplied the class "casing" for the screens was unable to produce them in February due to an accident at their plant. They provide the stuff to Samsung (who makes the screens that Apple uses) and others. There was also a radiation problem in the plant (which may explain the reports of radiation problems with the screens - which were not true) which makes the casing but all is back to normal and they're back producing them. Sooo it would seem that production will be speeding up shortly if it has not already occured. Samsung should now be able to manufacture and deliver the 15 " LCD screens to Apple (acutally Quanta).

My local CompUSA had an 800 Mhz iMac sitting on the floor in the box ready to sell. It had been there for 4 days when I noticed it says the salesman!
I'm waiting for Summer before buying one... perhaps a Rev B or is it A?

Newbie, you will love it! I got mine from the first January shipping and have made it my office machine of choice; people are still coming round to visit it.
