I'm trying to help a friend...his iBook broke, so we used FireWire Target mode to copy all his files to my OS X machine using DiskCopy. I chose his volume and created a disk image.
Now we're trying to restore his files. I can mount the disk image, but can't drag and drop the files...I get permissions error. So I tried rsync from a terminal window, which copied all the files, but it didn't look good under OS 9...all the applications were folders instead of launchable apps.
How do I restore his files?
