I'm waiting until my DVD drive is region locked (you get 5 region switches, and it gets locked on the 5th, and "final" switch). I've got the firmware patch downloaded and waiting. Since I travel so much between the US and Europe, and I'll most likely be buying DVD's from both markets, it may not be long before I'll need to install the patch, but I'm not doing it until I need to.
For info about DVD <a href="http://www.dvddemystified.com/" target="_blank">this page</a> is good. Get your <a href="http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/" target="_blank">DVD firmware patches here</a>.
