23" cinema display? :::

was wondering if anyone [lucky's!!!] owned one of these? & if the price difference between the 22" and the 23" is worth it?

what really are the benefits of the 23 over the 22? the 23 is HDtv's native resolution, but that's really the only benefit I see? is the display any different? [colors, arrangement, etc.]

a ponder question: do you think these displays will flow into the next generation of powermacs [g5's?]?

i would hate to purchase one, & later find out, the design will be different to blend in better with the g5's new design [assuming there's a design change].......

I don't know since I didn't really do anything on it but last night I saw it at the Apple Store and didn't see what was better than 22" about it, but like I said I really didn't do anything on it.

The ~41% in screen resolution is the biggest reason. Visually, I think the 23" display is actually not as good as the 22" in some areas. See <a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=000805" target="_blank">this post</a>.

Physically, it is just like the other Apple displays, except very slightly larger than the 22".

is the coloring scheme the same on the 23" as opposed to the 22"?

if i'm understanding your question, i think the color scheme is the same except that the Apple logo is shiny silver as opposed to silver/grey. just like the Apple logo on the new iMac. the logo kinda protrudes out like the iMac as well. at least that's what i would say

yeah, i just got TWO of them, together with my new 1gh g4 and a couple of scssi harddrives.......sweet. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> :eek:

.....well, the best answer to my questions are to go look @ it myself.....

Ummmm, two 23"ers & scsi hds.....

i just got confirmation that mine shipped tuesday! should be here thursday! i can finally use my dual gig and get rid of my 8500/120 <img src="graemlins/surprised.gif" border="0" alt="[Surprised]" />
