ibook chess hangs at startup

Hi,
I am new to macs. Ive just bought the new ibook g4 @ 1.2ghz with 512 mb ram and bluetooth. The bundled games like chess and tony hawks pro skater 4 hang at startup and i have to use the power button to restart my computer as everything stops responding. Please help!

Have you tried any other significant applications? Is everything crashing? Odd that just games would crash.

My bet it is loose/faulty RAM.
