Tariq Aziz dead ?

It seems there are 'rumours on the internets' that Tariq Aziz had died in US custody.

US is denying it but it is alleged that the Red Cross have spoken on it but I can't find that link.

Not sure if it is an Abu Ghraib kind of deal but it's got to stink.

Saddam's right-hand man, Aziz was a Christian who was was the sole repository (apart from Saddam) of the information relating to US involvement with Saddam from the seventies onwards.

Guess we'll never find out the truth in an established court now.

" it's got to stink"

Maybe he died because he was an old man? Na, he must have been murdered by American soldiers.

The death in custody of Tariq Aziz was first reported yesterday on the television news channel Al Arabiya.
The US claim those reports are untrue and that Aziz is alive, according to Reuters.

Shouldn't be difficult to quash these ugly rumours then - he is in US custody after all.....

I like this paragraph from the Reuters report.

Quote:
Aziz and other so-called high-value detainees, including Saddam, are being held at a secret, high-security camp believed to be near to Baghdad's airport.

LoL! I am happy that they didn't publish photographs of the secret, high-security camps that are near Baghdad airport.

That'll be the BIF facility then.

One of the US's top attractions in the region, the BIF can offer a smorgasbord of delights for the discerning visitor:

Quote:
According to senior government officials, prisoners at the BIF are "hooded from the moment they are captured. They are kept in tiny dark cells. And in the BIF's six interrogation rooms, Delta Force soldiers routinely drug prisoners, hold a prisoner under water until he thinks he's drowning, or smother them almost to suffocation."

Guests can stroll in the moonlight before enjoying the latest haute cuisine dining experience and tasting a Vegas-style musical extravaganza - well, actually they can't but they do get to experience history first hand and personally participate in the famous:

Quote:
scene of the most egregious violations of the Geneva Conventions in all of Iraqs prisons. A place where the normal rules of interrogation dont apply,

Yes, a visit to BIF is the experience of a lifetime and one that will be treasured always.....
