Powermac 8600/VRAM question

I've got a powermac 8600 with 2MB of VRAM. I can increase it to 4MB.
If I increase the VRAM to 4MB, will the stock video board (or integrated video) that came with it support higher resolution and more colors?

yes, but it may be better to find a cheap PCI card depending on you needs.

Bernard,

Just did some quick checks and I found a Radeon 7000 PCI card w/64MB of Video ram for $43.00. And to think I was going to pay $40.00 for 2 MB of VRAM for my stock 8600 video.
