Anybody have the inside scoop on when it's going to be released, if it will be carbon (I'd be very surprised if it wasn't!) and what are the new and improved features...? I use it all the time and it's a bit of a dog, so I'd like to know what's being addressed just for my own peace of mind...

Yes, it will be Carbonized (so it runs under both OS 9 and OS X, which is likely to be a requirement of all Adobe apps for at least the next year or so).
As for when, I would be willing to wager a finski that you'll see it before Christmas. Adobe surely will try and beat Macromedia to the punch to get OS X web developers into their court.
New features? My guess would be very tight integration with Illustrator 10, InDesign 2 (and later Photoshop) for OS X, so they can use that as a selling point over Macromedia's offerings. I think there's going to be a big media integration thing going on with PIGI (my name for the "Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive InDesign 'suite' ").
Lot's of import/export capabilities as related to the native formats, HTML, XML and PDF. <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

Any guestimates on database handling? They *have* to get that one sorted? Tight intergration with other Adobe products is great, but what will keep me using GoLive and not floating off to use Dreamweaver is "serious" stuff like databases, netscape 6 compatibilty, the ability to handle stuff like iframes properly...
Uh, why are there two versions of this thread?
