I know people who know other people that are on the beta test list for this. The only thing I know is that Apple are advising to install it on a clean version of OS 9.X.X. On an unused partition or drive and to re-format it and reinstall the OS for each build.
My frend decided that this would impact to much on his day to day work so declined to be on in the Beta test group.
He was part od the QT 5 Beta group

The clean install/reformat thing is standard Apple beta "suggestions".
