This is the most serious question i need an answer too...

can a man really be free until he knows... why he is free?

Is there a context to the question?

Free from/of what?

Just a philosophical journey here?

One thing I think on the issue of "freedom" (generally speaking) is that some must know first that they are not free (if that, in fact, is so) and what it is that has them in bondage/slavery.

That said, are there some precursor questions like...

Am I free or not?

If I am not, why not? What enslaves me?
