New Apple hardware expected next week - Page 5

post #161 of 166
Mac Mini 599 model

256->512 ram
Bluetooth and airport build in.

My primary wish was a faster GPU with more ram. But the other upgrades makes it about 150 dollars cheaper for me to buy.

Not as good as I had wished. But at least its better than what I was eady to buy two weeks ago.

If the hardware pages are correct, it looks like the only changes are to standard RAM, and the $599 and new SuperDrive models get standard Bluetooth and AirPort.

My thought exactly. I just cannot believe that it is left with the Radeon 9200 and 32 MB VRAM maximum. No 100% support (even minimal) for all existing OS features in a newly updated machine, must be a first for Apple now.

No wonder why Think Secret did not have the specifications. These a barely updates.

the prior generation 14 inch iBook is now $295 cheaper than yesterday (at MacMall) and that is probably a reasonably good estimate of the value of the updates

In the beggining, there was a post - amzing how acurate pessimism is when it comes to Apple and updates. I can only wish i had the gift of future-seeing that 1984 seems to have.
