Graphing and Stats for OSX

Have you guys seen anything like Deltagraph, CA Cricket, or SigmaPlot that'll run native in OSX? If this and endnote will come than I won't have to use classic anymore! Any suggestions?

Excel is really the best option right now.

SPSS and Statview have been threatening X versions for a while now. SPSS currently says "early 2002" for a release, after being pushed back a few times, and the current version won't run in Classic mode within X.

Statview, I don't know what their plans are.

The Apple math science link doesn't have anything useful for doing the kinds of stuff I need to do...error bars, linear regresions, curve fits, etc. SPSS would be good. I have a copy of Statview running. Deltagraph does work under Classic on X, but I really wish I didn't have to go into Classic at all. Oh well. I've used Excel when necessary, but again, I'd rather do stats with a stat program. <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" /> Thanx though. If you guys can think of anything else I'd be much appreciative. Anything to help me finish my disertation will earn you kudos from both me and the legions of people telling me to graduate already

Yes, that is my problem right now as well...no decent stats/graphing apps for X, except for SPSS. I would love to see JMP, Statistica, Deltagraph, etc ported over....would allow me to run a classic-free environment.

well, i have no info at all, but would like to say to you that statview works very nice in classic - no problems at all. statview used to have a message saying that statview would come to os x, but i cannot find it anymore - sign that it is not coming to the mac at all anymore? that would be too bad. apple needs to do something about it...

R. That's the only stat program I can find that I can afford for X. There's a native OS X version and a version you can run through X Windows. The native OS X version is slower. However, it's not an easy program to learn or use. I just decided to wait for SPSS and use OS 9 when I have to

I was wondering the same thing myself. The only thing I could find was profit on versiontracker, but I just didn't like it compared to the simplicity of Cricket. For now I'm using Excel b/c we have a site license for OfficeX.

Also, I'm not holding my breath for Endnote now that they are owned by Reference Manager who is not very mac-friendly.
