iTunes messes up Toast ?

I used to use basic Toast to burn audio and data till I got iTunes.

Now when I try to burn data in Toast it won't recognise my burner, even after a clean install.

After this I decided to try the iTunes data burning option but I can't get that to work either.

Am I just too stupid or what, how is data burned in iTunes since Toast seems, well, toast?
