It's good that NUM have worked for you, Eugene - I suppose someone has to find it usefull or they'd go out of business. But in my experience, when I've used various versions of NUM to fix glitches on my system, it actually *produced* more problems / conflcts than it resolved. I crashed *more* after running NUM utilities (as directed), than I did before I ran it (all of this under OS 8 and 8.5 for the most part). In fact, based on all of the comments I've read to date, I'd say 80% of the people who used NUM back in the day, had the same problem.
Maybe they've cleaned it up a bit for OS X. Either way, I'm really looking forward to TechTool Pro for X. It has so many more hardware tests and seems to do such a good job of identifying and fixing problems that I won't even consider trying NUM for X at this point. They've long since lost my business and that of many others.
Never tried Drive X, but it seems all anyone ever says of it is what a nice interface it has. If it had defrag capabilities I think more people would use it more otten. Not sure why they left that out.
